RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION ARE KEY CHALLENGES FOR ACCOUNTANCY SECTOR
Accountancy firms in #Wales are refining the way they attract #staff in the face of tough competition for #talent.
Five #accountancy firm leaders interviewed for the October/November 2021 edition of Wales Business Insider magazine named recruitment and retention
among the top challenges facing the #industry.
David Hughes, senior corporate business manager at DSG, based in Flintshire, told Insider: “To support the growth of the firm, we need to attract the right calibre of staff. The competition for talent between the larger national firms and regional firms is very strong.”
Deloitte, which has 1,500 staff in Wales, aims to create an inclusive work environment and use technology to eliminate routine and repetitive tasks.
Ian Howse, senior partner of Deloitte in Wales, said: “We focus on wellbeing and embrace flexible and hybrid working arrangements, as we recognise one size does not fit all when it comes to balancing work and personal lives.”
