I am recruiting an Interim Cost Accountant to complete a 3 month project for a well-established manufacturing business based in Wrexham. The project is to review and redesign the month end inventory and reconciliation process for the site. Working closely with the Financial Controller you will be required to simplify the processes and perform full stock reconciliations in SAP, as well as end to end margin analysis. Strong business partnering skills are essential as you support the site accountants, supply chain managers and division managers to create an end to end view of product and cost movement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review and improve inventory reconciliation process
• Provide full reconciliation inventory movements YTD
• Review and model end to end margin analysis
• Liaise with other departments to produce recommendations for margin improvement
• Monitor actual costs against standard and report and investigate variances
• Preparation and investigation of stock take variances
• Calculation of machine hourly cost rates
• Build-up and maintenance of product standard costs
• Commercial analysis & reporting including customer, product, sales & margin analysis

Key Skills:

•  ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
•  Experience in a similar role
•  Strong impact and influencing skills.
•  Current working knowledge of SAP will be beneficial
•  Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to quickly grasp and interpret key business requirements
•  A proven track record of forging effective key working relationships
•  Ability and drive to work with finance and the rest of the business
•  A keen eye for detail
•  An analytical mind and good math skills
•  Outstanding communication skills (written and oral)
•  Ability to work under pressure
•  Demonstrated experience of effective stakeholder management
