My client, a market leading global manufacturing business based in Warrington is looking to recruit a Procurement Category Buyer.  As one of the world’s largest organisations within their industry, employing over 5000 people across over 150 sites based throughout the world this company offers a dynamic and flexible working environment.  Reporting to the Head of Procurement this is a newly created role with a clear path for progression and development.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, issue, and evaluate tenders
  • Undertake spend and cost analysis
  • Proactively engage and influence stakeholders to develop sourcing initiatives that add value
  • Support the wider teams and depots with Procurement related queries
  • Support and implement overall Procurement strategy where applicable
  • Experience of working in a Procurement or supply chain environment
  • Experience in developing Category Management plans or supporting this activity
  • Degree educated (ideally), CIPS qualification, studying or willingness to work towards.
