I am currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a unique organisation in Snowdonia (commutable from Conwy, Bangor, Porthmadog). Working closely with the Finance Director, the core requirements of this role are maintaining accurate accounting records and producing timely financial performance reporting. The role will also interface strongly with all departments across the organisation making this a high profile role with an appreciation of the business as a whole.

Duties will Include:

• Maintain accurate accounting records, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly.
• Produce monthly management accounts including commentary and variance analysis within reporting deadlines.
• Develop additional financial performance reporting.
• Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly.
• Assist with budgets and forecasting.
• Maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast.
• Prepare and submit quarterly vat returns.
• Maintain fixed asset register.
• Assist with documenting accounting policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Strong commercial acumen.
• Proven accounting technical and analytical ability.
• Excellent working knowledge of accounting systems: XERO would be an advantage.
• Advanced level user of MS Excel with the ability to effectively manipulate large volumes of data.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management.
• Working knowledge of accounting for charities.
• Experience of partial exempt VAT returns.
