I am currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a very successful business in Skelmersdale. Reporting to the Management Accountant and working with key stakeholders across the business, you will be exposed to all areas of Management Accounts in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity to fast-track your Management Accounts career.


Duties will include:

  • Assisting in the preparation of multiple sets of monthly management accounts
  • Investigating and explaining variances in the management accounts to budget holders/stakeholder
  • Preparing and reconciling monthly balance sheet accounts
  • Produce Annual budgets to review level
  • Produce weekly P&L costings and submit to key stakeholders
  • Complete periodic re-forecasting to review level
  • Invoice and Credit Control customers and update the Company cash forecast
  • Support in the weekly reconciliation of labour deployment
  • Annual budgets and periodic forecasting with support of line manager
  • Invoice and credit control customers and update Company cash forecast
  • Review supplier invoices and liaise internally and with the supplier to resolve any queries
  • Support production of ad-hoc reports and project tasks as required from


Qualifications & Experience:

  • AAT qualified/ACCA/CIMA studier
  • Demonstrable experience in a Finance role, including journals, accruals, prepayments, depreciation and income matching
  • Analytical approach with attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills, Power BI experience beneficial
  • Energy and enthusiasm
  • Analytical and inquisitive approach with a real desire to seek out new methods that will allow more efficient provision of accurate financial data
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Clear and succinct communicator
  • Inquisitive approach to work with a real desire to continuous improvement and innovative & efficient provision of accurate financial data
  • Comfortable working individually and as part of a team
  • Hard working and flexible, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines
  • Ability to communicate financial information to non-finance colleagues
