I am currently recruiting for my client who are based near to St Asaph. The company are very well established and growing and as such require an accounts clerk to join the finance team of 2 on a permanent basis. Ideally you will have minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position and be happy to pick up new tasks as the company develops further.

 

The main duties of the role include, but are not limited to (and in no particular order):

  • Support for accounts assistant
  • Answering the telephone (we do have other people answering the phone here, it’s cover for when it can’t be picked up);
  • Occasional reception cover if and when required
  • Matching delivery notes to invoices and chasing our sites / suppliers for missing delivery notes;
  • Purchase ledger entry
  • Scanning documents onto server
  • Purchase ledger reconciliations
  • Filing / copying
  • Dealing with incoming correspondence
  • Coding invoices and credit notes
  • Raising payments / cash book entry
  • Chasing colleagues for weekly paid subcontractors’ paperwork
  • Maintaining sub-contractor insurance database
  • Dealing with card payment transactions over the phone and raising sales invoices for customer payments
  • Dealing with suppliers and/or colleagues for delivery notes and invoices on hold
  • Ad-hoc duties that pop up on occasion

 

Benefits

Salary – £17,000 - £18,000 + bonus  

25 days holiday per year plus statutory (up to 4 to be used for our Christmas and New Year office close);

Hours are 8:30 – 5:30 Mon – Thu with an hour lunch and 8:30 – 4:00 Fri with 30 mins lunch

After 6 months’ continuous employment the company will offer:

  • joining the company’s pension scheme that has employer contribution rates that are currently higher than the government’s workplace pension scheme

 The company operates a discretionary 10% bonus scheme paid twice a year (June & December)
