Legal Accounts Clerk

Minimum Salary: £17,000.00

Maximum Salary: £20,000.00

I am currently recruiting for my client who are based just outside Chester city centre. There is the need to ring on board a legal accounts clerk to join the finance function. This role would suit someone with minimum 1 years’ experience in a similar role looking to join a fun and successful company.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Ensuring bills are produced in a timely manner
  • Generating bills according to specific client requirements
  • Pro-actively chase pre-bills issued to maximise billing opportunities
  • Raising queries and addressing problematic invoices and processing invoices
  • First point of contact with regards to Legal Accounts Queries
  • Accurate issuing of credit notes with appropriate investigation
  • Timely resolution for billing queries
  • Making sure all client accounts are maintained properly
  • Reconciling the client bank account with clients accounts
  • Making sure all accounts are maintained within the SRA rules
  • Sorting cheques on a daily basis and raising all the slips to correspond.

  • Good keyboard skills and competence of Word, Excel and Outlook are required
  • Familiar with accounts procedures and office accounts (desirable)
