Interim Accounts Manager

I am recruiting an Interim Accounts Manager to complete a 7 month contract for a successful business based near Bromborough. This is a stand-alone hands on role working in a small team and reporting to the Managing Director.  


Duties include;

  • Processing purchase invoices – Check against purchase orders, match with delivery notes, code up to project and input into sage (Inc international invoices)
  • Production of sales invoices through excel – Input into sage and keep updated records of retention. Chase overdue invoices.
  • Bank payments and reconciliations with sage. (Inc international payments) Ensure payments made on time.
  • Keep accruals and prepayment records updated and journal into sage
  • Keep records of assets updated and depreciate each month
  • Petty cash and credit cards and site expenses 
  • Monthly Payroll (approx. 8 employees) – Keep records of Annual leave, check times sheets etc
  • CIS Returns, Monthly VAT returns and Quarterly corporation tax instalments (EC Sales List, EU Returns, CITB Returns)
  • Balance sage project balances with P&L
  • Work in progress calculation
  • Month end – Process, check and produce excel spreadsheets
  • Year end – Ensure this is completed methodically, produce audit file and assist auditors
  • Other ad hoc duties as required


The successful candidate will have worked in a similar role previously, you will require good communication skills and have excellent attention to detail. Experience of Sage Line 50 is essential, with good knowledge of Excel.
