I am currently recruiting for my client who are based In Congleton. There is the need for a part time member of staff to join the finance team non a temporary basis. The role will be c16-21 hours over 3 days. The role will be covering a period of long term sick, however this could develop into a permanent opportunity for the right candidate as the company are going from strength to strength. Business needs may lead to the need for an extra permanent member of the finance team!


You will be working alongside the Finance Manager and will be responsible for numerous areas of transactional finance and will be comfortable with all the relevant processes and legislation.


The successful person will be responsible for fully supporting the Finance function including:

  • Sales and Purchase Ledger - working on Sage Line 50
  • Recording Information, invoicing, processing
  • Dealing with monthly control account reconciliations, investigating discrepancies
  • Credit control duties
  • Providing cover for various other finance functions
  • Ad-hoc duties as required


Skills / Attributes

  • You will have excellent attention to detail and will complete all tasks to the highest possible quality
  • You will be focused, motivated and able to pick up new systems quickly and be confident on Excel and Sage
  • AAT qualified or training towards



Essential requirements: Sales & Purchase Ledger, knowledge of accruals, VAT, Payroll experience (desirable but not essential) Excellent Attention to detail, Flexible, able to work on own initiative, good communication skills.
