Due to growth and continued success, my client is looking for a Training & Development Manager to join their team. This is a newly created role and is pivotal to support the growth strategy.  


Based at Head Office, and forming part of the wider HR team as Training & Development Manager you will be responsible for designing, delivering and evaluating a range of training courses and development programmes for employees as well as working on the long term strategy. Some key highlights of the role includes:


  • Acting as main point of contact for all Training & Development requirements
  • Develop and maintain robust Learning & Development systems
  • Manage relationships with established training providers and other partners to maximise ROI
  • Source funding and manage the Apprentice Levy
  • Work with stakeholders to perform training need analysis and implement programmes where needed
  • Deliver training across the business including a rolling programme of people management training for Middle Management
  • Proactively source and organise industry specific training
  • Establish and maintain a mentoring network as part of ongoing colleague development and succession planning for the business
  • Act as subject matter expert in Training & Development
  • Work with Senior Management Team to develop and implement Personal Development Plans


Essentially you must have previous experience of design, delivery and facilitation of training as well as developing strategy within an L&D capacity. A customer focused and results driven individual you will have outstanding communication skills and creative flair when delivering training methods. Experience of sourcing funding for vocational and formal training courses as well as knowledge of how to utilise the Apprentice Levy is high desirable. You will be responsible for one direct report and will mentor and support them as well as the wider business.
