Interim Accounts Receivable Clerk

A market leading manufacturing organisation based in Runcorn, is looking to recruit an Accounts Receivable and Securitisation Administrator into their finance team to cover a period of long term absence. You will be required to perform cash allocations on a timely basis, perform receivables clearance and to complete accurate weekly securitisation reporting. 

 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

 

•             To perform cash allocation, which includes but is not limited to manually posting all unrecognised and incomplete items, identifying correct customer/vendor, correct invoice/order and ensuring all discounts taken are valid and correct.

•             To resolve any current or historic queries. To identify, investigate and rectify any incomplete records.

•             To identify documents that have been cleared before the securitisation run has taken place and prepare journals to correct bank accounts.

•             To ensure all incoming receipts can be posted to the company and collections can be processed. Arrange for any errors to be corrected.

•             To resolve any current or historic queries. To identify, investigate and rectify any incomplete records.

•             To clear receivables bank sub-accounts by analysing postings to the receivables sub-accounts and making manual corrections, if required.

•             To clear secure payments against correct documents, to clear sweeps, bank charges and any funding of the accounts and to clear misrouted funds.

•             To resolve any current or historic queries. To identify, investigate and rectify any incomplete records.

•             To run the weekly securitisation reports in SAP for all qualifying invoices, ensuring all postings generated are correct and complete. To ensure that all invoices generated by the reports are eligible to be sold into the securitisation programme. To clear the bank account against secured customers and clear the securitised invoices.

•             To submit finalised reports to the Group Treasury Officer 

•             For misrouted funds, to arrange transfer of funds into the correct bank account in order to be able to post to and clear customer accounts.

•             To liaise with the Credit team and other members of the Treasury team to refund customers relating to any credit notes and overpayments.

•             To prepare customer statements and distribute to the relevant party by email and/or post. To prepare audit confirmations and balances with evidence to Group Auditors during the preliminary and final audit.

 

Key Skills and Knowledge Required

•             The job holder is expected to hold A-Levels or equivalent

•             Numeracy, IT literacy and a good knowledge of SAP (desired) 

•             Experience in a customer (or supplier) facing role.

•             Experience in Accounts Receivable is preferable.
